SUPPLY OF EQUIPMENT TO MTRD
The Government of the Republic of Kenya has received a credit from the World Bank under Kenya Transport Sector Support Project (KTSSP) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit towards Contract for Supply of equipment to Materials Testing Research Division. The Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Works now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for supply of the equipment below.
Pavement Scanning Radar
Bidders may bid for one item or a combination of items. Bids shall be evaluated on an item-by-item basis. Bidding shall be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits.
Interested bidders may obtain further information and/or inspect the bidding documents from Chief Engineer (Materials) Office, Materials Testing Research Division, Off Machakos Road, Industrial Area, P.O. Box 11873 - 00400, Nairobi from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm East African time on Mondays to Fridays except during lunch break between 1.00 pm - 2.00 pm Hours and public holidays.
Bid documents with detailed specification and conditions are available from Supply Chain Management Office of Materials Testing and Research Division, Off Machakos Road, Industrial Area from 0800 to 1700 Hours East African time on Mondays to Fridays except during lunch break from 1300 - 1400 Hours and public holidays upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KShs 1,000.00 at the Cash Office or by Bankers' Cheque payable to Principal Secretary, State Department of Infrastructure, P.O. Box 30260 NAIROBI.
The bid documents may also be downloaded from www.transport.go.ke or IFMIS Supplier portal: www.supplier.treasury.go.ke free of charge. In order to receive amendments and/or clarification, bidders' who download bid documents and those seeking additional information should send notification to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Completed bids should be clearly marked with Tender No. and Tender Name as Specified above and deposited in Tender Box at Supply Chain Management Office situated at Ground floor. Works Building or posted to Supply Chain Management Office, State Department of Infrastructure, P.O. Box 30260 - 00100, Nairobi so as to be received on or before 1000 Hours on Wednesday, September 4th 2019. Bids shall thereafter be opened immediately in the Board Room on Ninth Floor of Works Building, Ngong Road. Bidders or bidders' representatives are invited to attend.
Electronic bidding shall not be permitted. Late bids shall be rejected. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of at least 2% of tender sum in local currency.
